Bay Montessori Summer Camp

 

Join us at Bay Montessori for a summer of discovery and fun!

 

We offer ten weeks of camps for ages 3-11yo.

 

Children will have a chance to grow socially, creatively, and emotionally while exploring our 13-acre campus and splashing in our pool!

We take our learning beyond the classroom and apply it firsthand to the world around us.

 

General Session Info and Pricing:

Pre-Primary Camps available to current Bay students only.

Primary Camps (3-5yo) *child has not completed Kindergarten by June 2026

School Age Camps (5-11yo) *child has completed Kindergarten by June 2026

 

Pre-Primary and Primary Camps are 9 am - 12 pm (half day) OR 9 am-3pm (full day).

School age camps are 9 am - 3 pm.

Before/aftercare is available.

General Session Information: 

 

Camps will be closed on 6/19 to observe Juneteenth and 7/3 to observe Independence Day.
 

Enrollment:

 

All current Bay Montessori School (BMS) students are guaranteed space if signed up in March and must complete the Current Bay Montessori Student Summer Enrollment Form.

 

New students already enrolled for the 2026-2027 school year should also complete the current Bay student form.

 

Non-BMS students must fill out the Non-Bay Montessori Student Summer Enrollment Form. Space will be confirmed starting April 7th. Primary campers and older must be toilet trained.

Billing & Cancellation Policy (NEW as of 2026)

  • Billing will occur on the first of each month and will cover all camps in that month.

    • June 1st Bill will cover Weeks 1-4

    • July 1st Bill will cover Weeks 5-8

    • August 1st Bill will cover Weeks 9-10

  • Families can cancel camps up until the first of each month; once billed for a camp, it is non-refundable.

  • Families are welcome to sign up for camps at any time as long as there is space; if signing up after the first of the month, camp dues will be reflected on the next month's bill.

Any family with 2 or more children enrolled for 3 or more camps will receive $10 off each child’s camp session.

Montessori Pre-Primary Camps 6/8 – 8/14 (10 weeks)

Pre-Primary campers will experience a Montessori classroom throughout the summer while participating in other fun activities in the sun! These camps are open to Bay students only (18-36 months)

 

Nature Walks & Gardening – led by our gardener, Ms. Debra, children will enjoy nature walks among our gardens and the meadow while exploring local plants and creatures. Campers will participate in planting seeds, watering gardens, and harvesting edible treats.

 

Library & Storytime – children of all ages appreciate being read to! Campers will visit our library at Bay and enjoy story time with our librarian, Ms. Susan. They will also check out books to keep in their classrooms.

Wheel Day - campers are invited to bring a riding toy from home to enjoy riding it in our fenced off driveway while learning about road safety and listening to some music.

 

Sprinkler fun/water play – campers will enjoy running around in the sprinklers and splashing with toys at a water table as they develop their fine & gross motor skills and coordination.

 

Montessori Primary Camps 6/8 – 8/14 (10 weeks)

Primary Campers will join in a variety of interactive activities throughout each week while practicing Montessori practical life in their environments!

 

Swim Lessons & Sprinkler Fun – campers will enjoy some pool time (2X/week) as they participate in swim lessons and free-swim! Campers will gain confidence in the pool and learn skills they can use throughout the summer. They will also enjoy splashing in the sprinklers.

 

Nature Walks & Gardening – led by our gardener, Ms. Debra, children will enjoy nature walks among our gardens and the meadow while exploring local plants and creatures. Campers will participate in planting seeds, watering gardens, and harvesting edible treats

 

Art & STEM – campers will explore a variety of art and building materials to create crafts and structures as they develop their fine & gross motor skills and coordination.

 

Cooking & Baking – campers will enjoy cooking and baking a variety of treats and snacks using hands-on learning and enjoy tasting them afterwards. Cooking is an exciting and pleasant sensory experience for children which provides avenues for the development of math concepts, language, science, and cultural subjects.

 

Library & Storytime – children of all ages appreciate being read to! Campers will visit our library at Bay and enjoy story time with our librarian, Ms. Susan. They will also check out books to keep in their classrooms.

Montessori School Age Theme Camps

Along with each Theme Camp, School Age Campers will enjoy some time in the POOL daily! They will learn new skills, play games, and gain confidence in the water as they participate in Swim Lessons & Free Swim every afternoon. They will also practice Montessori Practical Life & Gardening in their environments and enjoy Wheel Day on Wednesdays!

Medieval Times
Join us for merriment galore! Campers will help build a castle wall, make a flower and royal crown, decorate their own shield and create a bound book for all their daily adventures! Town Crier will announce daily events, and we will end our week with a traditional medieval lunch!

Macramé Camp
Macramé is the art of tying knots in specific sequences, turning simple string into beautiful works of art! Campers will learn and practice the basic knots and techniques of macramé using cord and a wooden dowel. With just a few simple knots, they’ll design and create their own handmade project to proudly display at home. (19th closed)

Lost & Found: Cartography Camp
This week, campers will build real-world navigation skills while exploring their place in a global community. Through hands-on activities, they’ll learn the fundamentals of orienteering using a compass and put their skills to the test in an exciting campus-wide treasure hunt. Campers will also dive into map reading, explore different types of maps, and create their own custom maps to take home.

All About Sharks
Join us for a week full of JAW-some fun! Campers will learn about shark science, make shark related crafts, and go on a shark tooth hunting expedition at Calvert Cliffs on Thursday. We will dive into different species of sharks, their deep-sea habitats, and their migration patterns. This week is sure to be FIN-tastic! (3rd closed)

All About Dinosaurs
“Terrible lizard” is what paleontologists (dinosaur detectives) call the beasts from the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous Periods. Learn the names and habits of these pre-historic giants as we explore their world. This camp will include a visit from My Reptile Guys on Thursday.

Sewing Camp
Everything we wear has stitches, so let’s learn how to make our own! This hands-on camp will introduce students to the practical and timeless art of hand sewing. Join us as we venture through the rewarding process of drafting your own project from start to finish. Whether campers are new to sewing or are looking to expand their skills, each child will leave with new abilities and tangible creations to be proud of.

Underwater Worlds
Campers will collaborate to transform an enclosed canopy into an immersive underwater world. Using recycled and repurposed materials, they’ll create vibrant sea creatures, coral reefs, and plant life while exploring environmental themes like pollution, sustainability, and caring for our planet. Through hands-on art and teamwork, campers will build creativity and environmental stewardship in a joyful, Montessori-inspired way.

Mathe-Magic
Campers will learn about the ways that math can be used to describe and learn about the natural world, from finding examples of the Fibonacci sequence to making and using their own clinometers, a tool for measuring very tall things! Campers will explore the beauty of both nature and human design through various mathematical patterns and tools, developing a sense of wonder for the interconnectedness of our world.

Bay’s Great Bake-Off
Ready, set, bake! In this deliciously fun week, campers will learn the basics of baking and gain confidence around the kitchen as they plan, prepare, and taste a variety of baked goods! Baking techniques, vocabulary and proper use of kitchen utensils will be explored. The week will rise to a grand finale with our very own Bake-Off competition, where teams will put their new skills to the test in a fun and friendly challenge

Mindfulness, Music, & Meditation
In today’s busy world, learning how to slow down and find calm is a powerful skill. Campers will explore simple, everyday tools that help create balance and peace. Through basic yoga, guided journaling, meditation techniques, rhythm & movement activities, call-and-response music, and discovering the natural sounds around us, campers will learn healthy ways to relax and express themselves while finding their inner peace
