Bay Montessori School has been serving children and families in Southern Maryland since 1994. As an American Montessori Society (AMS) member school, we provide an authentic Montessori education for children from 6 weeks through 6th grade on our beautiful 13-acre campus in Lexington Park, Maryland.
Our campus features thoughtfully prepared classrooms, a library, art studio, STEM lab, swimming pool, nature areas, and spacious playgrounds that encourage exploration, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Physical Education Teacher (Part-Time)
Bay Montessori School is seeking an energetic and engaging Physical Education Teacher to provide weekly physical education instruction for students from Preschool through Elementary.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with children of various ages, promotes healthy lifestyles, and creates fun, developmentally appropriate activities that encourage teamwork, coordination, confidence, and lifelong fitness.
Responsibilities

Plan and lead engaging physical education classes

Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive character development

Adapt activities to meet the developmental needs of each age group

Maintain a safe and organized learning environment

Collaborate with classroom teachers and school administration
Qualifications

Experience teaching children preferred

Degree or background in Physical Education, Education, Recreation, or related field preferred

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Infant Teacher (Full-Time)
Bay Montessori School is currently seeking a nurturing Infant Teacher to work with children ages 6 weeks to 14 months.
This teacher will work alongside other classroom staff to provide exceptional care while creating a peaceful, prepared Montessori environment that supports each infant's individual development.
Responsibilities

Provide loving, attentive care for infants

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom

Support children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development

Qualifications

Experience working with infants preferred

Toddler Teacher (Part-Time)
Bay Montessori School is seeking a caring and dependable Part-Time Toddler Teacher to support our Toddler classroom serving children approximately 14 months to 3 years of age.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping young children develop independence, confidence, and foundational life skills within a Montessori environment.
Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining a prepared Montessori classroom

Support children during classroom activities and daily routines

Encourage independence through positive guidance

Collaborate with classroom teachers and families
Qualifications

Experience working with toddlers preferred

Substitute Teachers (Part-Time / As Needed)
Bay Montessori School is always looking for dependable Substitute Teachers to join our team. Substitutes may work with children ranging from infants through elementary-aged students and provide support across multiple classrooms as needed.
This position offers a flexible schedule and is a great opportunity for retired teachers, college students pursuing education, or individuals interested in Montessori education.
